About Mrs. Cates

   My name is Ashley Cates and this is my 27th year teaching at Lascassas Elementary. During my time here I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and now currently serve as an academic interventionist. I graduated from MTSU and then returned to get my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

   I am married to my high school sweetheart, David, who serves as the Minister to Students at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. We live on a century farm in Milton and raise beef cattle. We have a dog, Dak, and a cat named Maisy. Our son Benjamin is married to Natalie and they are currently renovating David's grandfather's farmhouse in Readyville. We are so blessed to have our family nearby and enjoy spending time together!
